About the Sacramento TMA

Member Services

MANAGEMENT

 

Business and community leaders serve on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Transportation Management Association to guide TMA policy and programs.  

Marilyn Bryant has been executive director of the TMA since 1989, providing consistent transportation assistance targeted to members' needs.  Involved in Sacramento's business and transportation community for 19 years, she shares her information and expertise with TMA members, saving them valuable staff time to devote to their primary business.

The Sacramento TMA provides its members' employees personalized lists of potential carpoolers from the regional rideshare database.

 


 

MEMBERSHIP

   

The Sacramento TMA is the oldest TMA in Sacramento and one of the largest TMAs in the country.  Incorporated in 1989, the TMA has 145 employer members and helps more than 87,153 commuters find alternatives to commuting alone to work.

EMERGENCY RIDE HOME Employees that do not drive alone to work are assured a ride home in case of an emergency or unscheduled overtime.  The TMA pays all costs of the ride, tracks usage and provides marketing materials, registration forms and vouchers to run the program.

FUNDING

The Sacramento TMA is funded entirely by membership dues, which pay for member programs, services and staff.  Members pay annual dues of $250 to $5,000, based on the number of employees.

 

 TRAINING The Sacramento TMA offers training seminars to help members develop effective commute option programs.

AWARD WINNER

The Sacramento TMA has been recognized for its outstanding programs and services to reduce commuter traffic by the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT).

The TMA's seven minute Employee Commute Services video won the Agency Marketing Campaign award from ACT, and the Retro Rideshare campaign of posters and paycheck stuffers won the Marketing Award.

ASSISTANCE and CONSULTING Trip reduction program setup, including Commuter Choice programs, Transit Subsidy, Teleworking programs, Flexible work hours.

Annual Employee Commute Survey technical assistance to determine employee participation and commute mode.

Onsite consulting.
